This website is awesome, thanks guys. I've found u ur reviews very helpful but I havent seen anything about the Whole in the Wall, i'm really curious to know what you think...
Hit up Escape State Street too. Get these guys some press for their great paninis and flatbread pizzas. Join the facebook group @ http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=99371225764&v=wall
There's a new cafe called "The Director's Cut" on the south side in the Domino's Plaza near Number 5. We've heard some good things about it, can you please review it? Thanks!
I grew up in NYC and have lived here over 22 years - I enjoyed reading some of your reviews. I'd like to see reviews of
1. The Dim Sum House on Main St. in Johnson City near BAE. We had a horrible experience with the last restaurant that was in this location and we suspect it is the same ownership-so are reluctant to try it.
2. La Vita E Bella (Italian Kitchen) on the Vestal Parkway.
Eh, I have been to #5 a few times and I have never really had a good experience. Its a bit too old fashion and stuffy for me... I will try and review it soon.
You should review The Bagel Factory in Binghamton (mybagelfactory.com) and also review spiedies from Salamida Marinades. We will gladly send you a free sample to review if you are interested.
Please send an email to salamidamarinades@gmail.com if you would like to!
Sometimes I just want to stop by somewhere and get takeout so I don't have to cook when I get home. But everything I have tried has been, well, horrible. This is my first year in Binghamton and I learned early that the food is not great, so I don't eat out too much, but the only food I have found to be worth returning to is China Lake and Lost Dog, neither of which are take out type places. Does anyone have any suggestions?
@Fkulik I don't have Cortese's pizza dough recipe but you may want to try and sweet talk the bartender into giving you some of Cortese's secretes. Obviously, a screaming hot oven and a sturdy pizza stone will give you a better crust but as far as ingredients goes your guess is as good as mine.

What about #5? Is it really on the top??? I heard a lot of good things about the place, but my experience was not that good.

This blog is awesome! Great idea! Would you do a review of the Broadway Cafe (located on the Davis College campus on Riverside Drive in
ReplyDeleteJC)?
The Cafe is open to the community is is popular with many for business lunches, book clubs, etc.
